Pierrick Demoisy
Assistant
Born in 1997, Pierrick Demoisy discovered music at the age of 7 through the flute. After several years of practice, he took up the bassoon at the age of 14 and, one year later, joined the class of Alain Cremers as a “Young Talent” at the Institut Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie in Namur, Belgium, where he later completed a Master’s degree.
As a performer, he has appeared with various professional ensembles and orchestras, including the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, the Orchestre Symphonique de la Monnaie, the Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale and the Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg. He was selected as a Festival Favourite at the Royal Juillet Musical de Saint-Hubert and has contributed to the soundtracks of several films.
Deeply committed to teaching, he has been active since 2019 in music schools in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, notably in Dudelange, Mondorf-les-Bains and Hesperange.
Alongside his career as a bassoonist, he has, for several years, returned to his first instrument, the flute, which he continues to develop under the guidance of Marina Ferrari. This dual instrumental background enriches his musical and pedagogical approach, particularly in terms of breathing, musical phrasing and body awareness.
