Presentation and introduction in Qi Gong

By using easy exercises based on slow movements and static positions, you will relax and reinforce your body, gain in flexibility, in strength and endurance, increase your breathing and calm your mind. This combination of energy and stillness will help you in your practice and improve your approach to your concerts or your exams and competitions.

Each session begins with a warm-up including a self-massage, and the unblocking of the joints. Then it goes on with a series of stretching exercises, a static position and a sequence of specific movements, ending with some breathing exercises.

Katrin Reifenrath, Qi Gong teacherBeside her teaching and accompanist activities, Katrin Reifenrath has been practicing Qi Gong intensively since 2011,  as well as Tai Chi Chuan, which she began as a student. The result was an enhanced feeling of well-being in her daily piano practice, greater ease in her playing and a better approach to being on stage. Hence she decided to undergo Qi Gong training in 2020 at the IEQG (Institut Européen de Qi Gong directed by the Doctor Yves Réquéna in France), with the purpose of teaching it, especially for musicians and artists. She obtained her teaching diploma in July 2023 and regularly attends workshops and further training. She teaches Qi Gong in the Conservatory of Luxembourg to her fellow teachers and students since September 2023.
